Anticipation high for dancehall-themed Streetz

With its inaugural staging still fresh in the minds of many, the highly anticipated dancehall event, Streetz, returns to Ocean Village on Main Street, Ocho Rios, on July 1. Streetz will again offer the most electrifying musical selections, coupled with an unforgettable dancehall atmosphere.

According to Chad Williams, one of the directors of the street dance-themed brand, the launch event certainly delivered. "Our February staging surpassed everyone's expectations a full to capacity venue of over 3,500 patrons and an incident-free staging kept patrons partying long after the music subsided. Based on positive feedback we've gotten from patrons, we had no choice but to return home to Ocho Rios for the second staging in a timely manner,

" he said. Building on the concept of the Streetz brand, which is focused on bringing an authentic street dance vibe, patrons will enjoy Guinness bucket deals all night and giveaways, courtesy of Lion Pride. "As far as selectors and DJs go, anticipate a high-energy with juggling from the likes of Sky Juice from Metro Media, Kingston's own Team Shella, DMX, Coppershot Music, Illusion Sound, and look forward to a surprise guest artiste," Williams said. Women enter the event free before midnight and pay $500 after. Men, on the other hand, pay $500 with a flyer before midnight and $1,000 after.
